Shared vs Full HR Install in the PIM Data Hub instance

If you don’t need it, don’t use it!

It is common for this question to not get asked by the apps dba when starting to create the installation configuration.

If you not implementing Oracle HR in the same instance as you are implementing the PIM data hub, then don’t put a “full install” HR option.

Technically, you shouldn’t have it on “full” if you are not license either.

Check to see if it is installed or shared using a query to the Oracle FND application table. Status column will be I for installed or S for shared.

If you are “I” then you are a full install.  If you are not implementing HR in the same PIMDH instance then you are probably wasting time in the creation of employees.
